Introduction
Active Travel England (ATE) is an executive agency to the Department for Transport established to enable more walking, wheeling and cycling.
Making Active Places is our flagship conference, with some tickets available via ballot and others via sales. We are making this privacy process to manage these processes.
What data we are collecting and how we will use it
We are processing the following personal data:
- Your full name
- Your job title
- Your employer name
- Your email address
- Any dietary information you wish to share
- Any access information you wish to share
- Card information for paid tickets
Personal data is required to provide you with pre-event and post-event information, such as agendas and feedback surveys. It is also required to provide you with a high-quality conference experience that meets your needs.
ATE communications distribution list
ATE holds a communications distribution list. During the sign-up process for this event, you will have the opportunity to opt in to your details being added to this list. Data sharing
Your personal data is processed on behalf of ATE by Eventbrite. Further information on how Eventbrite processes personal data can be found in their Privacy Policy.
We will share your name with the event venue in line with the venue’s policy, and also with our event management company. In addition, we may need to share data regarding your dietary or accessibility needs with the event venue in order to ensure that the event is accessible and accommodations can be provided where appropriate. How long we retain the data
Your personal data will be kept securely by ATE. Your personal data and special category data will be deleted within 6 weeks following the conference.
If you have opted in to our distribution list, your name, job title, employer name and email address will be retained in line with our distribution list privacy notice.
Your rights
We rely on your consent to process the personal data you give us to facilitate the event. This means you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If at any point you want to withdraw your consent please contact us at contact@activetravelengland.gov.uk.
