Spotlight on school streets in Shropshire

About this webinar

Join Rhiannon Letman from Shropshire Council as she discusses implementing camera enforced school streets in a rural local authority.

The session will cover selection of schools and implementation of using moving traffic offences powers to enforce school streets, as well as exploring the challenges of implementing such changes in a rural setting. Rhiannon will also evidence the impact of the scheme and how behaviour change measures have supported implementation.

Rhiannon has extensive experience of delivering behaviour change projects. She delivered nearly 50 school streets schemes in Cardiff, with 16 being camera enforced, as well as an extensive camera enforcement programme on yellow zig-zags outside schools. Rhiannon sits on the Active Travel Board in Wales, and co-chairs an Active Travel to School sub-group with partners across Wales.
